Challenge junkie

I think I have become a bit of a challenge junkie. It seems thats all I blog about, and its the only thing that is getting me to be creative at the moment. Yet there are so many other challenges that I want to do, but there just isnt enough hours in a day to do them all. So here is my ATC for this weeks theme over at Blue Bazaar; theme is "Winter." Look Jen I even attempted a wire birds nest. No where as good as yours though. LOL!!!

Inchies challenge

This weeks theme at http://inchingartists.blogspot.com/ was "Height" or "Vintage Ad". Not easy coming with something for height on just an inch square. Vintage ad was alot easier. In fact I found it hard chosing which ad to pick.

Weekend away at the Otways

We spent the weekend away down at Apollo Bay for Barry to participate in the "Otway Odyssey." He rode 10okm up and down moutains in the Otways, through knee high mud, rain and a few bursts of sunshine. He came in just under the 10 hour mark. 10 hours of riding, not for the faint hearted.

Imogen and I went sightseeing down to the Cape Otway lighthouse, we climbed the light house, and Imogen braved 40 knot winds walking right around it, I managed to get 3/4 around but got the old jelly knees going and went back. Yep I know I was 3/4 around, and went back when I could have just gone forward a little more. The pic of the beach is from our balcony where we stayed. It was beautiful waking up to that view.

I have finally scrapbooked again

Finally looks like the scrapbooking mojo may have returned. Last night I had a play with the Prima paintables, this design came in my Poppy Ink Kit that came this week from Blue Bazaar. This was so much fun, I used my water colour crayons, an aqua brush pen, & 1 tombo. I also did a couple of other LO's, but that will have to be for another time. Off to a birthday party now..

Inching artists weekly challenge

This weeks wonderful and yet again challenging theme @ inching artists is "holes." As soon as I saw it I wondered and wondered what "the" am I going to do. First thoughts were a peeping hole, mmmm ok perhaps not, ozone layer hole mmm ok too hard, the black hole,mmm again too hard, and then today it came to me, a key hole using the "Collections" chipboard keyholes. Postie was finally kind

After weeks of waiting and more waiting for my little parcel from the wonderfully talented Monique http://smallworld.web-log.nl/

from the Netherlands, Australian quaratine decided to post it on after they rumaged through a box of yummy goodies and art work from my fellow BB'ers. Last year we did an ATC swap followed closely by a moo card swap, and finally I have these wonderful creations in my hands.

Last year when I posted my ATC's & moo cards to Monique, I decided to add a few Australiana items, such as Tim Tams (which she loved), milo, and of course VEGEMITE. Needless to say unless your an aussie it sure is an aquired taste. Along with an aussie teatowel, most probably made in China along with a couple of stuffed aussie animals. So today I have the Netherlands in a taste box in front of me, and all the wonderfully different packaging has me rather intrique like the nun on the box of Cocoa. I am sure there is a history and story there. Havent been game enough to try anything yet, though I think tomorrow will bring a much gamer Sarah to try foods from another wonderful country. Thank you Monique I love all the treasures this box has, and thank you girls from BB for your wonderful creations..

In the mood to make cards

Today instead of cleaning my desk of scraps, I decided to use the scraps and make some cards. Quite simple and quick, but sometimes that is just satisfying enough for ones lack of creativity and mojo.

Skinny Saturday Challenge

This weeks theme at Skinny Saturday is "Travel" and of course I had to do Paris. Anyone that knows me, knows I love all things French. Imogen decided to complete 2, she has become Skinny saturday obsessed I tell you. She used some stamps, and cut out the lady & poodle from some chipboard packaging.
